KALANJALI ETHNICS

These fabrics are made by artisans of Kalamkari hand block printing from Pedanna, Andhra Pradesh inspired by the enchanting flora and fauna of Nandankanan, , a zoological park situated in Chandaka forest ,Orissa. The motifs are hand drawn & hand carved on wooden blocks . The colors for printing are extracted from vegetables, minerals and flowering plants and the dyes were prepared using alum and myrobalan seeds , Laboriously developed over a period of 400 days, filled with the warmth of mother nature; the Sun, river, animals, trees and mud have all played their parts in the making of this collection .
